Wide receiver Andre Holmes, despite being pushed down the depth chart in the previous season, remains with the Oakland Raiders after reaching a one-year deal with the team he originally joined nearly three years ago.
Last season, Holmes was the third string wide receiver for the Raiders behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. Because of his playing situation, he had his worst season in terms of production as a catcher since heading to Oakland.
In 16 games one start played in the 2015 season, Holmes only had 14 receptions for 201 yards and four touchdowns. The reception tally and receiving yards were a bit distant from his numbers during the 2014 season when he had 47 receptions for 693 yards both career-bests and also four touchdowns in 16 games 13 starts. But even if the 27-year-old’s numbers as a wide receiver went down, he did a good job as a member of the special teams, and in the previous campaign tallied a total of seven tackles, also having two forced fumbles.
The 2015 season was the second consecutive season that Holmes played 16 games.
