Brock Named D2CCA 1st Team All-Region
D2CCA All-Region Release
Few wide receivers distinguished themselves in the 2016 season the way Hillsdale College sophomore Trey Brock did. Friday afternoon, he was recognized as among the best in one of the NCAA’s toughest regions.
Brock was named First-Team All-Region by the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association. Nomination and voting were conducted by sports information directors from Super Region 4 football programs.
Twelve other players from the GLIAC were also named all-region. Thanks to his first-team honor, Brock is now eligible for All-American honors through the D2CCA program.
In 2016, Brock set a school record by averaging 132.2 receiving yards per game. He caught 77 passes for 1,322 yards and scored 12 touchdowns for Hillsdale. His receiving yardage total was second-most in school history, and his 77 receptions were tied for fourth-most in a season in school history.
Last month, Brock was named First-Team All-GLIAC.
Brock is the first Charger to earn all-region honors since Cam White and Joe Glendening did it following the 2012 season.
