Despite Record Effort, Chargers Fall at #14 Indianapolis

The last sentence of my last post was something to the effect that I was expecting another exciting game between Hillsdale and Indianapolis; man did we get one! I wish I had just foreshadowed a Charger win a little more and maybe that could have willed a different outcome to the 38-45 Hillsdale loss.

Trey Brock and Chance Stewart both set single-game records for receiving yards (302) and passing yards (458) respectively and were looking for more late in a tied ball game but fate would make a cruel U-turn on Hillsdale.  A 93-yard Indy pick six would lift the Greyhounds over, a game that saw the Chargers roar back from a 23-0 first half deficit.

Sometimes  losses hard to stomach and the last two weeks have been gut punches. The 24-21 loss to McKendree was disappointing in that if felt like Hillsdale could have done so much more. The Indy loss hurts because we saw historic effort but the Chargers still end up in the loss column.

Here is the run down from Hillsdale College.
