In the past when I have delivered live in-game updates, I would first post to the Chargerblue Facebook Page and that would funnel out to Twitter. This year I am eliminating in-game posts to Facebook for a couple of reasons. A) Facebook doesn’t always show posts in chronological order and that defeats the purpose of “instant”. B) I have listened to feedback from followers who say it just bogs down their Facebook pages.
All regular article posts from Chargerblue.com will still go to Facebook and I will continue to add content. The Facebook page isn’t going anywhere and will continue to be updated…just not with play-by-play updates.
You don’t have to be a Twitter user to follow the live tweets. That may sound counter intuitive but I have embedded the Twitter feed into every page of Chargerblue.com, so just look down and to the right and you can follow the feed live as it happens.
If you follow Chargerblue on your phone, enable alerts and every big play or score will be delivered via push notification. You can turn alerts on and off with one button inside the profile.
