Hillsdale’s all-time leading receiver and NFL free-agent Andre Holmes could be back in Michigan for good. Holmes who spent the last four years in Oakland will visit with the Lions on Sunday.
The Lions are looking to bolster the receiving corps and reportedly like Holmes for the role he played last season on special teams. The speedster was a beast on punt coverage.
Before joining the Raiders, Holmes spent a handful of weeks within the Patriots organization. Working at the time in the New England front office was current Lions GM Bob Quinn.
Also showing interest in Holmes are the Bears. Holmes grew up in the Chicago suburbs.
