Hillsdale College Release
For the second year in a row, wide receiver Trey Brock was named the winner of the Roy Beck Most Valuable Player Award, bestowed by the Hillsdale College football program.
Brock and other award winners were recognized at the team’s postseason banquet, held at the Searle Center Sunday afternoon on Hillsdale College’s campus.
Brock set a Great Midwest Athletic Conference single-season record with 74 receptions, totaling 1,174 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. He had six games of 100 or more receiving yards, and his 302 receiving yards against Indianapolis Sept. 23 was an NCAA Division II single-game high this season.The rest of the team’s awards were spread among nine different players on the roster, emblematic of the terrific depth on this year’s Charger team, which finished with a 7-4 overall record.
